Two experimental craft beers, with notes of peanut butter and grapefruit, from US brewery Tailgate have been introduced in the UK by specialist importer Heathwick.
Peanut Butter Milk Stout, at 5.8% ABV, has a sweet peanut butter aroma and chocolate, peanut and roasted malty notes that complement the smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
Grapefruit IPA, at 6% ABV, is a dry, light-bodied IPA with a heavy grapefruit aroma and a strong hoppy bite on the palate. They both come in 355ml cans.
They join Heathwick’s existing Tailgate beer, Sorta IPA, a full-flavoured version of an IPA at 4.5% ABV, also available in 355ml cans. They are both said to pair well with food.
Graham Richardson, general manager of Heathwick, said: “Having trialled Peanut Butter Milk Stout and Grapefruit IPA last year on draught we know we are on to a winner with these two beers.
“They were so well received that we are adding them to our rapidly growing portfolio and making them available in cans from June onwards so that the beer enthusiast can continue to enjoy new, distinctive and experimental American craft beers of exceptional quality.”
