US inspires new Monin syrup for autumn and winter drinks

Monin UK has added Pumpkin Spice syrup to its range in response to the increasing popularity of seasonal autumn and winter drinks.

Made with real pumpkin juice, the new syrup will help bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants to meet growing demand for the flavour during the colder months – a trend heavily influenced by its immense popularity in the US.

Developed by the innovation team at the brand’s headquarters in Bourges in France, the new Monin Pumpkin Spice syrup captures the earthy, autumnal flavour of pumpkin with a warm kick of spice from cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves.

Suitable for coffee as well as cocktails, it contains no artificial flavours or additives and is dairy and gluten free, kosher and suitable for vegans.

Pumpkin Spice Mule
20ml Monin Pumpkin Spice syrup
50ml Brandy
20ml Lemon juice
1 dash of Angostura Bitters
Ginger beer
Shake the first four ingredients and strain into a tumbler. Top with ginger beer and garnish with lime zest and dried apricot.

Pumpkin Spice Iced Tea
20ml Monin Pumpkin Spice syrup
30ml Monin Lemon Tea syrup
300ml Water
Combine ingredients in a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir and serve garnished with lemon slices.

Pumpkin Spice Latte
15ml Monin Pumpkin Spice syrup
1 shot of fresh espresso
120ml milk
Pour syrup into mug, top with steamed milk and pour espresso over the top for a layered effect. Garnish with cinnamon to taste.
