Tilted Kilt, the sports bar chain in the US and Canada, is looking for a franchise partner to open at least 20 sites in UK cities.
The bars specialise in beer, pub-style food and broadcasting sport on HD TV screens alongside pool tables and dart boards.
Key to Tilted Kilt’s success is its serving team of Kilt Girls and Guys, who wear Celtic-themed outfits and are trained to high levels of service.
The company is looking for a foodservice operator to help it launch the concept in the UK which, it believes, could be home to at least 20 sites in cities around the country.
It says the ideal franchisee will have considerable experience running a strong, marketing-oriented food-related business, with access to at least £630,599 capital per site. They will need an intimate knowledge of the UK market and willingness to take on a venture that requires a dedicated focus on restaurant and bar development, marketing and operations.
Tilted Kilt currently has over 100 sites across the US and Canada. Sites are generally between 500 and 750 square metres, with average annual revenues of $2.2million. Customers are aged between 25 and 49 years old, with a ratio of 75/25 male to female guests, and the average spend per head is $16.50. The food/alcohol split is 50/50.
Every site has at least 24 beers available on draught, “authentic pub fare”, and between 30 to 40 HDTVs for a high-quality sports viewing experience. Combined with pool tables and dart boards, Tilted Kilt is the best place to watch sports and hang out with friends. Humorous and slightly bawdy limericks are even seen throughout the bar, creating an atmosphere that is fun and entertaining.
