US water purifying system launches into UK bars and restaurants

Vero Water

A leading US system for purifying mains water for serving in bars and restaurants has expanded into the UK market.

Providing an alternative to pre-bottled water, the Vero on-site system provides purified still and sparkling water, served in stylish branded bottles.

The water’s crisp, clean taste is thanks to the company’s Vero+ technology, which removes impurities, chemicals and imperfections through a five-stage filtration process.

It debuted in the UK as a sponsor of the Considerate Hoteliers Awards at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel in London in July.

David Deshe, founder of Vero Water, said: “We’re excited about the UK market as our research shows restaurants and hotels wish to provide pure, great-tasting water at a low cost and without creating a large environmental footprint.

“This allows our customers to provide high-quality water at a lower price point than paid for traditional bottled water. This benefits the establishment and their customers, increasing profits as a result.”

Vero install its systems into a customer’s existing water source, calibrates them, provides a free set of stylish branded bottles, proactively changes filters and provides on-call service whenever needed. It also provides sales training for staff to maximise the venue’s return on investment and to help increase profits.

Vero’s customers can choose to donate 10% of sales of water to its charity partner, Whole World Water, which funds the provision of clean, safe water programmes around the world. To date, the Whole World Water Fund has invested in eight projects providing clean and safe drinking water to communities in Cambodia, Uganda, India and Madagascar.

The Vero+ systems are available in different formats for different sizes of establishment. The monthly lease price for the Vero Water Bottling System is fixed, regardless of the total water dispensed. There are no delivery or installation charges, no security deposit and all maintenance and filter replacements are included with the lease.
