VIDEO: Big trouble in little Chinatown with JJ Goodman

JJ Goodman, bartender and co-founder of London Cocktail Club bars, has released the first episode of his new series, JJ’s Guerrilla Cocktails.

In “Big Trouble in Little Chinatown”, two “cocktail-mixing ninjas” go head to head in a cocktail competition and take their creations to the streets to let the Great British public decide the winner. The prize? Maximum kudos and bragging rights!

What better way to celebrate Chinese New Year London than with a Chinese New Year London cocktail. In this episode, JJ hooked up with his old friend Sipheng “Slash” You, owner of Pimp Sheiu in Clerkenwell, London. Pimp Sheiu is an amazing kung-fu dive-bar.

After exchanging the traditional run of brotherly love, it’s off to the shops to stock up. Back at Pimp Sheiu, armed to the teeth with HKB baijiu, Chinese pear juice, oolong/suger cane, kumquats, lychee wine and salted Chinese plums, the lads go to work creating their Chinese New Year London cocktails.

JJ and Slash then take to the streets, unleash their work on the public and ask them to help answer the burning question: what is the best Chinese New Year London cocktail of 2016?
