Customers at a bar in Manchester were given a surprise show by global freestyle champion John Farnworth as part of the build-up to Euro 2016.

Catching customers unawares, he burst into Yates at The Printworks at lunchtime and showed off his fancy footwork, from impressive keepy-uppys on the bar to headers and tricks from the upper-level balcony.

Captured on film, it tied in with the launch of a new sports menu and drinks offers that will be available at over 50 Yates bars nationwide throughout the football tournament that starts this weekend.

Vince Williams, head of marketing for Yates at Stonegate Pub Company, said: “The Euros is one of the biggest sporting events of the year and we wanted to get our customers into the spirit with an impromptu performance from John.

“It was great to see so many people get involved and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back when the tournament begins. Whatever team you support, the Euros is set to be one of the most exciting tournaments yet and you can catch all the action at your local Yates.”
