Diageo GB has released a short film starring Jude Law that tells the story of two Johnnie Walker whisky drinkers and their quest for rare experiences.
The five-minute film, The Gentleman’s Wager, was shot in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean and London and follows Jude Law’s character as he seeks to win something that money can’t buy.
It was made by film and music video director Jake Scott and co-stars Italian actor Giancarlo Giannini whose credits include James Bond movies Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale.
The film was previewed this week at the World Class House in Fitzrovia, London, which has been set up by Diageo GB to showcase its brands through experiences and drinks.
The characters are seen enjoying Johnnie Walker Blue Label as a symbol of quality and discernment but it is otherwise not directly referred to.
Law said: “The film is about improvement and progress, and this is something I try to do in my work and my everyday life. I had to learn new skills shooting this film that combined with the places we visited and shot in, alongside working with Jake and with Giancarlo, made it a truly rare experience.”
