Stonegate Pub Company has brought a taste of sunnier Australian climes to the food menu at its Walkabout bars, with new burgers, upgraded sharing plates and new vegan and vegetarian options.
Additions to the menu for spring include Tackle the Balls Out Burger, which is a classic cheese and bacon skewered with a four-ball beef meatball kebab, while the Barbie Time Burger comes topped with a spicy chicken kebab and pork loin steak (pictured).
If you prefer to leave out the bun, the new Double Down Under Burger places melted cheese, bacon and barbecue sauce between southern-fried chicken fillets.
The upgraded sharing plates range from the Snags Board to the Walkabout Platter and BBQ Sharing Platter, which have all been given makeovers.
The selection of Parmi options – the Aussie name for Italian-style breaded chicken parmigiana – has added Katsu Curry Parmi and Parmi Chicken Skewers.
For non-meat eaters, additions include Quinoa Chilli and vegan Asian Noodles.
