Football fans will be able to interact with their heroes when a Euro 2016 preview at a Walkabout in London is streamed live to the group’s bars throughout the country.

In partnership with its official betting partner Coral, the event at Walkabout in Temple will allow people to discuss the tournament with footballing greats such as Harry Redknapp, Dietmar Hamann and Ray Houghton, hosted by Scott Minto.

In what they believe is an industry first, operator Intertain has arranged for this evening’s preview event to be broadcast live on screens using state-of-the-art audio-visual technology at all of its bars as well as on the Coral website.

Exclusive tickets to Walkabout Temple’s 6.30pm event were offered to fans free of charge via the @WalkaboutTemple and @walkaboutsport social media feeds. But thanks to the live streaming, anyone unable to attend can still interact with the panel by tweeting their questions using a specially designated event hash tag.

All Walkabouts will also be live streaming these social media feeds, photos and even jokes from the event at Temple.

Michelle Farrell, brand communications manager at Intertain, said: “The live streaming of the Euros preview event we are holding at Walkabout Temple is indicative of just one of the many ways we are building on our reputation for unbeatable match-day atmosphere through market-leading developments and quality partnerships.

“In addition to a special Euros-inspired menu, with food from all participating countries, there will be dedicated drinks offers and some bars – including Walkabout Reading – have either had or are due to have one-of-a-kind stadium-style seating installed. The seating can be pre-booked with ‘eskies’ (cool boxes full of beer) ahead of the big game, giving fans a true taste of big match atmosphere.”

Seats in all Walkabouts can also be pre-booked for all Euros matches, which will be shown on the bars’ giant projection screens and multiple high-definition TVs, combined with advanced sound and lighting systems.
