The former chief financial officer of Walkabout operator Intertain has stepped in to the same role on a temporary basis at Revolution Bars Group.

Mike Foster will be interim chief financial officer while the Revolution bars operator seeks a permanent replacement for Chris Chambers who is stepping down from the board at the end of this week (May 6).

Mike has hands-on financial reporting and commercial management experience gained in senior positions in large multi-site retail and leisure businesses, including the last 20 years in major pub and bar companies.

Most recently, he was chief financial officer of Intertain from 2009 until its sale to Stonegate Pub Company in December last year. Before that, he was chief financial officer of leading pub and bar company Regent Inns from 2005 and held a number of senior accounting roles at pub giant Spirit Group (formerly with Scottish & Newcastle Retail), sports club operator Esporta and nightclub and leisure group First Leisure Corporation.

Revolution Bars Group continues to expand its Revolution and RevoluciĆ³n de Cuba bars around the UK, growing to 71 sites after opening in Harrogate, Reading, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southend-on-Sea in Essex (pictured).
