West Brewery to supply beers to London bar group

St Mungo Bottle and full glassWest Brewery in Glasgow has formed a new partnership that will see its bottled lager St Mungo stocked across London bar and restaurant group ETM.

The beer will be stocked in nine ETM Group sites across the capital, including One Canada Square restaurant and bar in Canary Wharf, and The Botanist in Chelsea. St Mungo will make up around 20% of ETM Group’s bottled artisan beer portfolio.

ETM Group’s pub The Gun in Docklands, will also offer beers from West’s draught range as specials including Hefeweizen wheat beer and its dark lager, Munich Red.

ETM Group will also work directly with West to create a bespoke ETM brew, exclusive to its venues.

Petra Wetzel, who founded WEST in 2006, said: “ETM Group is one of the best restaurant and pub groups in London and their commitment to quality food and drink makes them the perfect home for West and St Mungo lager.

“As an independent, artisan producer we can offer services such as bespoke brewing and I’m thrilled to be working with ETM on their own beer.”

It is part of the continued expansion for West which, in 2015, is due to open a second brewery.

Like all West beers, St Mungo is brewed in Glasgow to the traditional standards set by the German Purity law of 1516 which dictates that only water, barley, hops and yeast can be used to create a pure brew. There are no additives, preservatives or colourings.
