It calls on consumers to video themselves in a pub or bar playing “finger football” – using a nut as a football – and then share it via social media. If they mention the name of the venue in a tweet or upload it to BigD’s Facebook page, the licensee has a chance to win the top prize.
The winning consumer will earn themselves football tickets to watch a team of their choice plus a kilogram of BigD nuts to share with their friends.
The top three clips submitted before September 15, 2012 will be chosen to go through to the final stage of the competition where the general public will vote on their favourite Facebook videos. For every person who clicks “like” on the videos, BigD will make a 10p donation to its charity of the year, Balls to Cancer.
