It will be giving away thousands of pairs of eye-catching, flashing LED “shutter-shades” glasses with bottle purchases.
Student-oriented outlets will also be supported with witty point-of-sale materials and a range of student-specific cocktail jug recipes.
The range of six academically themed cocktail recipes will give groups of students the chance to enjoy WKD with complementing spirits and soft drink mixers.
The pitcher recipes include WKD With Hons, which combines WKD Iron Brew with Captain Morgan rum, lemonade, ice, and the WKD Grad-U-Like, mixing WKD Orange with Apple Sourz, lemonade and ice.
The WKD “Study” Break combines WKD Red with Archers, Malibu, lemonade and ice. An ingredients guide is provided to help staff make up the drinks quickly.
Point-of-sale items include table-talkers detailing the cocktails on offer, hanging mobiles, posters and giant banners that proclaim “Thesis Well Nice” alongside images of the WKD bottle range, or “Ultimate Student Essentials: Mates. Banter. Night out”.

WKD has a suitably humorous approach and doesn’t take itself too seriously, and our in-outlet activities always appeal strongly to students.
“Our ‘shutter shades’ will bring some theatre to proceedings and our special student cocktails as sure to go down well amongst new-found friends at the start of the forthcoming term,” Carter concludes.
