Recipes created by some of the world’s leading bartenders will be on the menu at a pop-up bar for Woodford Reserve whiskey celebrating the Old Fashioned.
Run as part of London Cocktail Week, The Art of the Old Fashioned bar will take over a railway arch in Old Street in Shoreditch from October 6 to 9.
The curated menu will be a collaboration with some of the world’s most skilled bartenders including Erik Lorincz of The American Bar at The Savoy and Marian Beke of the Nightjar in London as well as Jack McGarry of The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog in New York City.
They have each crafted a unique Old Fashioned recipe that showcases the depth and character of Woodford Reserve bourbon. The drinks will be available at £5 for people who are wearing London Cocktail Week wristbands or for £9 without a wristband.
Guests will be invited to create their very own cocktail through an immersive master class deconstructing the Old Fashioned. Leaving with a hand-bottled Old Fashioned, they will be provided with the recipe card allowing them to recreate the drink at home.
The Art of the Old Fashioned will be at 347 Old Street from 6pm to 11pm each evening. For more information, visit www.londoncocktailweek.com. Master classes are priced £15 and can be booked in advance via the website or on the night subject to availability.
