Past finalists of Diageo’s World Class competition have created Tanqueray No Ten cocktails for serving at top London bars such as Milk & Honey, City Social and Vista.

The “Perfect Ten” cocktails have been devised by bartenders Nathan O’Neill, Gareth Evans, Ladislav Piljar, Tim Homewood and Monica Berg.

As part of the activity, the rooftop Vista bar at The Trafalgar hotel has created a Citrus Garden, featuring grapefruit, lemon and orange trees accessed via a hidden citrus archway entrance.

The pop-up at Vista is a celebration of the new bottle design for Tanqueray No Ten and has taken inspiration from the whole handpicked citrus fruits and botanicals used to make the gin.

Cocktail master classes hosted by Tanqueray brand ambassador Tim Homewood are being held in the Citrus Garden every Wednesday evening, inviting guests to delve into the rich history of gin, learn about the distinct flavours of Tanqueray No Ten and find out about the art of creating gin-based cocktails.

Three of the Perfect Ten cocktails have been created by Tim exclusively for Vista, called the Tiny Ten Martini, Old Tom Fizz and What a Lovely Waugh (pictured) – a mix of gin, orange vinegar, Florida orange, Aperol, cranberries and raspberries.

The Perfect T10 Martini, also devised by Tim, is available at Aqua Shard, Blind Pig, The American Bar at The Savoy, Bar Américain at Brasserie Zédel, Callooh Callay, POLO, The Connaught and Balthazar.

Nathan O’Neill’s Tiny Ten Collins and Through the Looking Glass are available at Milk & Honey and will also be available at Dandelyan, the bar at the London Mondrian hotel at Sea Containers that opens on the South Bank in September.

Gareth Evans’ Perfect Ten cocktails, L’Amuse Goose and Madam Camomile, are available at City Social in the City – one of the bars that he heads for chef Jason Atherton. Monica Berg’s Ten Pollen is available at another of Atherton’s restaurants, Pollen Street Social.

Ladislav Piljar’s Finest Ten is made on request at Bam Bou in Fitzrovia.

The bartenders were finalists in past World Class competitions run by Diageo Reserve Brands. The 2014 global final is taking place this week in London.
