Young’s Seafood has created a new and improved lighter breadcrumb coating for its popular Classic Wholetail Scampi.
Specifically designed for use in foodservice, the new coating gives diners a crispy lighter option and will help bars and pubs tap into a trend for lighter coatings.
Offering consistent portion control, the scampi can be cooked in three minutes at 180C from frozen. It is available in case sizes of 10x454g.
They can be served as a bar snack or with the traditional accompaniments of chips, peas and tartare sauce or as a starter with a crisp green salad and a fresh wedge of lemon.
Garry Roche, foodservice sales director at Young’s Seafood, said: “The addition of a new lighter coating to our Classic Wholetail Scampi, part of our Young’s For Chef’s range, has made it easier than ever for outlets to offer quality scampi that can be cooked from frozen.
“Perfect for establishments looking to save time in the kitchen without compromising on quality, the new lighter coating will mean your customers keep coming back for more.”
Young’s Seafood will be showcasing its products at the Casual Dining show at London’s Business Design Centre on February 24 and 25.
