The Bitter Truth releases pineapple-flavoured craft rum

Bitters, liqueurs and flavoured spirits producer The Bitter Truth is rolling out its new Tiki Lovers Pineapple rum ahead of spring.

Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum is made using a blend of aged and unaged Jamaican pot-still rum, three-year-old Barbados rum that has been aged in former Bourbon Whiskey barrels and some young column-still rums from Trinidad and Guyana.

The blend is then infused with an all-natural, pineapple extract from South America and allowed to rest for several weeks.

Described as “bold, vibrant and taste-rich”, the 45% ABV rum is recommended mixed in tropical drinks or simple with ginger beer on ice.

Samantha Burke, managing director of Love Drinks, which distributes The Bitter Truth, said: “The Bitter Truth is a hugely respected brand throughout the bar industry with its high-quality, innovative range of seasonings, syrups and spirits synonymous with the best cocktails.

“Following the huge success of the company’s Pink Gin last year, we expect the unique Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum to make a similar sort of splash this summer as the weather heats up and the ‘Tiki Season’ begins in earnest.”

The new Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum is available immediately to the UK on-trade.
